One Aim One Vote One Destiny

Operation Black Vote Canada (OBVC) was established in 2004 as a nonprofit and multi-partisan organization that supports the election of Black people to public office. We do this by educating, motivating and advocating for Black Canadians to participate in Canada’s government, agencies, boards, commissions, civil service and in Canada’s political process at all levels.

At Keep6ix our mission is Three-fold:
Providing holistic and integrated capacity-building programs for justice system involved youth. Preventing first time young offenders from going down a disempowering path by providing one-on-one mentoring, career counseling and employment skills training.

Promoting healthy self-esteem by providing counseling for youths with core life skills such as communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to make healthy life decisions.

The purpose of this initiative is to provide an alternate banking option, that better serves the Black community in the Greater Toronto Area, and eventually, across Canada. According to the National Credit Union Association of the United States, “minority-owned and managed credit unions play a critical role in providing financial services to communities that have been traditionally undeserved or unbanked.”

The United Nations Decade for People of African Descent (UNDPAD) Push Coalition was formed with the singular focus of ensuring that the federal government follows through on its commitments made to Black communities through the 2019 budget
